100+ Women Who Care Sanibel & Captiva Islands held an engaging informational meeting on December 2nd, bringing together women from across the islands who share a common goal: strengthening the community through collective philanthropy. The giving circle, powered by the Charitable Foundation of the Islands, also announced Florida Trust Wealth Management as the 2026 Presenting Sponsor.
The gathering was filled with lively conversation, meaningful connection, and a deep sense of purpose as attendees celebrated the group’s ongoing success and expanding impact. Last year, the organization raised $36,000 in just three hours, with an additional $15,000 in matching funds from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation — totaling more than $51,000. These funds directly supported Community Housing and Resources (CHR), the Children’s Education Center of the Islands (CECI), and The Sanibel School Fund.
The meeting underscored how the power of collective giving can create lasting change, as members continue to support nonprofits that make a difference right here on Sanibel and Captiva.
