The Sanibel Shell Show has long been respected as The Premier Shell Show in the world, and it will return on March 5th, 6th and 7th of 2026, in partnership with the Sanibel Community House, at the Sanibel Community House on Sanibel Island. The show includes a juried scientific and artistic exhibit competition second-to-none, vendors of world-class shells, amazing marine and shell themed vendors, an exhibit of live mollusks, and a wide variety of artistic creations. The show is populated by exhibitors from throughout the United States, as well as from around the world.
Proceeds will benefit the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club’s Grants Program, as well as the Sanibel Community House’s operating budget and its many programs. The Grants Program is totally funded from proceeds raised by the Sanibel Shell Show, and the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club often gives out grants totaling $30,000 annually to institutions doing ground-breaking research in improving water quality and other local, environmental issues. The Club also gives grants to educational facilities to further understanding of shell malacology. In recent years, a substantial portion of these funds has been donated to the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum and Aquarium and to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, (SCCF), on Sanibel Island.
