“Of the things we think, say or do:
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
The Four-Way Test is Rotary’s unique approach and process to address conflicts, solve problems and make decisions to achieve desired outcomes. Imagine yourself addressing conflicts through the lenses of fellowship, empathy, accountability and trust. The power of four questions, 24 words. It is not a code, creed or pledge, but rather a springboard to voluntary self-improvement.
We were honored to hear from the winners of the Rotary Four Way Test Essay Contest as they read their winning essays to our group. These essays offer the perspective of our youth and how they can apply these principles in their lives. This is an annual event open to 8th graders. First place was won by Anna Kolobova. Second place was Kate Branin and third place was Jhana Hoang. Congratulations to these well written young ladies!
We also heard from Joshua Schwartz, President of The Sanibel School Interact Club, with updates from the club that we sponsor. They do amazing things within our community all while creating tomorrow’s leaders.
