Bank of the Islands is proud to support the work of Feed My Starving Children as a $500 sponsor and volunteer team for its January 31-February 1 event. The Bank is also encouraging its customers and neighbors to join them as volunteers.

“We are so happy to help support the good work of Feed My Starving Children both with a financial contribution and with our time,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “They have set an impressive goal of distributing 185,000 packaged meals in MobilePacks, so we hope others in our community will consider joining the effort.”

Feed My Starving Children is a national nonprofit organization that works with local volunteers to pack healthy meals for children in need throughout the world. The local event will return to Sanibel this year and take place at the Sanibel Community Church at 1740 Periwinkle Way. Volunteers can sign up for 2-hour shifts on January 31 and on February 1. Several shift options are available on both days. Volunteers are encouraged to register by calling Dave Truelsen at 847-305-9175 or by sending an email to [email protected].
