BIG ARTS 2021 Annual Benefit featuring Sheléa is going virtual. For the first time ever, you can experience the excitement of BIG ARTS Annual Benefit from the comfort of your own home. The Benefit, which will be held on March 18, at 8:00 p.m. EST, will feature a brilliant livestreamed production that will make you feel like you are in Christensen Hall. Limited seats in the hall are still available for purchase through the BIG ARTS box office, at (239) 395-0900. Tickets to the livestreamed performance are available at the box office and online at BIGARTS.org. A special thank you to this years Exclusive Corporate Presenting Sponsor The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company.

The star of this year’s Annual Benefit is the incredible Sheléa, who is back by popular demand. Her performance in Christensen Hall last season received a standing ovation and rave reviews from the audience.  With a voice reminiscent of Whitney Houston and the piano skills of Alicia Keys, Sheléa has been hailed as one of the greatest artists of our generation by music legend Quincy Jones. Among the many highlights of her career are performances at the White House, Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall – and now BIG ARTS and your living room!

“We’re thrilled to have Sheléa back on Sanibel for this year’s Annual Benefit,” said Executive Director Lee Ellen Harder. “Last year’s performance was spectacular and this year’s is going to be even better. While we’re sad we can’t have everyone in the hall with us this year, we are offering something that they can enjoy at home with their loved ones that is truly going to be special.”

To give virtual-performance patrons the feeling of being in the hall, BIG ARTS has engaged a topflight professional livestream production company whose resume includes multiple live TV events – among them the Super Bowl and the National Cherry Blossom Festival in D.C.  The livestream you will experience of this incomparable performance by Sheléa will be unlike almost anything you have seen online.  Quality sound, lighting and multiple cameras will transport you to Christensen Hall.  This is a never-to-be-seen-again performance exclusively for BIG ARTS Annual Benefit patrons. You will be talking about this concert long after the curtain goes down.

Seating is limited in Christensen Hall to honor safety standards.  Sponsorship opportunities are still available. To purchase tickets please contact the box office at (239) 395-0900. Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Virtual tickets are available online at BIGARTS.org.

BIG ARTS is practicing the highest standards of safety during this challenging time. All visitors are required to wear masks throughout the facility. Please be sure to put on your mask before entering the building. We ask that you are mindful of physical distancing. With physical distancing precautions in mind, BIG ARTS is selling only 50% of the seats in Christensen Performance Hall. Therefore, until further notice, only 200 seats will be available for any event in the Hall.  A maximum of 25 people will be allowed in the gallery at any given time. BIG ARTS has enhanced its air-filtration system, all surfaces are wiped down between use, a professional sanitation fogger is being used after each gathering, and there are hand sanitation “stations” throughout the ground floor.
