The Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva has a special offer for islanders:  buy tickets to the annual home tour, “A Peek at the Unique,” at LUNAFEST, Zonta’s upcoming film festival, several days before the ticket site opens to the general public.

The third annual LUNAFEST is at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way, on Tuesday, January 21, beginning at 7:00 p.m.  LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival showing short films that highlight female filmmakers and raise awareness about women’s lives.  Included in the program will be the first public premiere of a short film on the Equal Rights Amendment, made by local women filmmakers.

Now in its 19th year, “A Peek at the Unique” is set for Saturday, March 14; a three-hour, guided tour of normally inaccessible island homes.  All funds raised are awarded in grants to organizations that empower women, locally and around the world through Zonta International.  Bring a credit card; tickets are again $100 (plus a small service charge) for morning departures and $90 (if available) for the afternoon.

In honor of Zonta’s centennial, the club is offering LUNAFEST to the community at no charge.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.  While entrance is free, reservations are requested:  register at www.eventbrite.com/e/lunafest-sanibel-fl-tickets-82840884315.
