On Monday, April 7, the Captiva Civic Association hosted an unforgettable evening of elegance at the Tête de Cuvée Tasting, an exclusive event dedicated to celebrating the finest in wine offerings. This prestigious gathering was a tribute to the “Tête de Cuvée,” the top-tier selections from the world’s most iconic Champagne houses, providing guests with an immersive experience in the world of exceptional wines.

The wine selections for this event were expertly curated by Calli Johnson duPont, known for her role as the wine steward at Bailey’s General Store and The Island Store. Her expertise and passion for wine were evident as guests savored each carefully chosen pour.

Complementing the wine selections, Chef Karl Hamme presented a delightful tasting menu of hors d’oeuvres, perfectly paired to enhance the wine-tasting experience..

This event marked the grand finale of our wine tasting season, leaving guests eagerly anticipating the next season’s offerings. The Captiva Civic Association extends its gratitude to the Sanibel Captiva Trust Company for their generous sponsorship of this season’s wine tastings, making these events possible.
