On Aug. 17, the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce welcomed new member Beachwalker Marketing & Communications with a ribbon cutting at Blue Giraffe 2 on Sanibel Island.

“I started out my business in March of 2020, weeks before the pandemic hit,” says owner Maureen McGauran. “However, I have been fortunate to work with local businesses in spite of the trials of the pandemic.”

McGauran specializes in marketing, particularly in the areas of social media, covering businesses on both Sanibel and Captiva islands. She also serves as a board member of the Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association.

“I joined the chamber because I want to be involved in supporting my community and what this area has to offer,” she said.

“We welcome Maureen’s valuable services to our membership and look forward to working with her to our mutual benefit,” said John Lai, chamber president and chief executive officer.
