Dear Artist Friends of CHR,
I have some great news to share. CHR is pleased to announce our new public art project this year: “Give Your
Heart to CHR.” We will soon be receiving 15 beautiful puffy heart forms that are approximately 46” H, 40” W,
14” D, on a post and with a base. They are a fiberglass/resin material, primed, and ready for an artist’s brush!
I’m writing to ask if you are interested in designing and creating a “Heart” for CHR. The “Heart” art form
would be delivered to you October 1st and would need to be completed and provided to CHR no later than
November 26th.
The “Hearts” will be showcased by CHR sponsors around the island as in previous years, beginning on
December 1st and up until the Grand Finale Live Auction which will be held on February 4th.
If you are interested in donating your amazing talents to CHR’s event and willing to create a “Heart” for
us. Simply reply to this email to express your interest.
This year’s auction is limited to only 15 pieces of art, so we ask that you complete a brief application, which
can easily be completed and submitted from our website at https://sanibelchr.org/heart-artist-application.
If you have any questions please email me directly. Applications must be received no later than September
14h in order to be considered.
CHR depends on fundraising support for over 40% of our operating budget. This “Give Your Heart to CHR”
fundraiser will raise much needed funds to support CHR’s mission: to provide affordable homes for families
and individuals who work in and serve our island community. We could not do this without the generosity of
gifted artists like you!
