Sanibel Island, Community Housing and Resources (CHR) of Sanibel, a nonprofit organization committed to providing affordable housing to the workforce and senior citizens of the island, is delighted to announce the acceptance of a generous donation from the Sanibel Captiva Islands Association of Realtors. The donation was presented to Savannah Miller Berg, Executive Assistant at CHR, highlighting the association’s commitment to rebuilding and establishing community partnerships.

Prior to the storm, CHR provided housing for 100 residents across 73 rental units. Presently, there are 61 residents occupying about 48 rental units, demonstrating the organization’s dedication to restoring affordable housing options.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to the Sanibel Captiva Islands Association of Realtors for their generous donation and ongoing support,” said Savannah Miller Berg, Executive Assistant at CHR. “Their partnership enables us to continue providing affordable housing options and fostering a strong sense of community on our island.”
