Community Housing and Resources (CHR), the nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing for families and individuals who work & serve the community of Sanibel, is pleased to announce that it received a donation of $1300 from the Friends of Randy of Sanibel July 25. The donation was a result of the funds raised at the 43rd annual Road Rally on July 4, a fun and festive event that celebrates the island’s independence and spirit.
CHR is a full service organization that offers rental properties for eligible residents who made the income and employment requirements.
Friends of Randy organizes the annual Road Rally, a scavenger hunt that takes participants around the island in search of clues and prizes. The Road Rally also supports a local charity each year.
“We are grateful for the Friends of Randy for the generous donation and their support of our cause,” said Nicole Decker-Mchale, the Executive Director of CHR . “We are honored to be chosen as this year’s beneficiary of the road rally, which is a wonderful tradition that showcases the island’s culture and Community. We appreciate the efforts of the Friends of Randy to help us provide affordable housing for Island workers and elderly residents. The funds raised will be used for families back to school supplies.”
