Community Community Housing and Resources (CHR) would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) for shining a spotlight on the importance of affordable housing in our community.

We are especially grateful to SCCF for highlighting our ongoing efforts to rebuild the Riverview Project—essential homes for essential people. The support and encouragement from SCCF is a meaningful step forward as we work together to create a more sustainable and resilient future for everyone who calls these islands home.

Affordable housing is more than just a place to live—it’s about supporting the people who make our community thrive. We are proud that 10% of CHR residents are SCCF employees, and that 15% of all our residents work for local nonprofits. By providing safe, convenient, and affordable homes, CHR helps ensure that essential workers, including those who care for our environment, can continue to live and work right here on Sanibel and Captiva.
