Community Housing and Resources recently held its annual meeting, bringing together board members, leadership, and supporters to reflect on a successful year and look ahead to future goals. The meeting included approval of minutes, amended financials, updated bylaws, and the election of new board members, strengthening CHR’s leadership for the year ahead.
The organization shared key achievements, including providing housing for 91 residents and raising seven million dollars toward a new building. Gratitude was expressed for the leadership of CHR’s Executive Director, Nicole Decker-McHale, the dedication of the CHR team, outgoing board members, Roger Grogman and Doug Babcock and the ongoing support of the community. Incoming president Erika Steiner also thanked outgoing leaders for their service and commitment.
Looking forward, CHR highlighted the importance of increasing awareness of its limited equity ownership program and shared plans for the Harkey House project, which aims to provide homes for 15 individuals currently on the waitlist. The meeting underscored the power of community support in advancing CHR’s mission and building a stronger future together.
