Attention locals of Lee, Collier & Charlotte Counties! During the month of September, Tarpon Bay Explorers is offering a 25% discount on rental kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, bikes as well as kayak tours, boat tours and SUP tours for residents of Lee, Charlotte & Collier County. Paddle a kayak through the mangrove tunnels of Commodore Creek. Ride a bike through the heart of the refuge on Wildlife Drive. Look for dolphins and manatees with a bird’s eye view on a paddleboard or fish from a pontoon boat in the back-bay waters of the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge. Tarpon Bay Explorer also has new Hobie fishing kayak rentals for the avid angler. For those with a thirst for knowledge, guided tours lead by a knowledgeable naturalist are great experiences to help you hone in on local flora and fauna. “We hope residents come out this year and take advantage of the discounts,” said Assistant Manager, Adam Sauerland. “Especially, since the outdoors are the best place to social distance while having a good time,” exclaimed Sauerland. Locals can also launch their own watercraft between the hours of 8am-4pm with a small park and launch fee.

What better way to enjoy the off season than by exploring local waters within one of the most beautiful places in Southwest Florida without the crowds or lines. Kayak, canoe, paddleboard & bike rentals are first come, first serve between 8am-4pm. Hobie fishing kayaks and pontoon rentals require a reservation. Reservations are recommended for all tours as well. Please bring your I.D. to verify your residency!
