SanCap Kiwanis has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local youth and families by awarding $90,000 in grants to area nonprofits this year. Among the recipients is the Children’s Education Center of the Islands (CECI), a vital early learning center serving children ages two through five, and soon expanding to welcome children as young as 18 months.

CECI’s leadership expressed gratitude for the support. In the aftermath of recent storms, the center lost many essential resources. The grant from SanCap Kiwanis comes at a crucial time, helping CECI provide teachers with the tools they need to deliver a nature-based learning program that celebrates the unique environment of Sanibel and Captiva..

With plans for a new building on the horizon, CECI looks forward to continuing its partnership with SanCap Kiwanis in the years ahead. The grant not only helps restore what was lost but also ensures young children in the community have access to quality early education rooted in the natural beauty of the islands.

SanCap Kiwanis is proud to stand alongside organizations like CECI, working together to strengthen the community and invest in its youngest learners. For more information about SanCap Kiwanis and its grant program, visit sancapkiwanis.org
