Need a break from Hurricane recovery?  The Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner offers the perfect opportunity to leave the cleanup behind and enjoy yourself with your fellow Islanders.  The Islands’ much-loved annual community gathering will return to the Sanibel Community House on Saturday evening, February 22.  Save the date and get ready for a good time!

You and your fellow Islanders will enjoy an all-you-can-eat Italian feast of salad, pasta & meatballs with special-recipe Kiwanis spaghetti sauce, , garlic bread and beverages (wine and soda).  Tickets are $20 per person, and children under 10 eat free.  Following the dinner, patrons will be entertained in the Great Hall with music, dancing, and a fun raffle & auction; and after-dinner wine, coffee and dessert will be available (including famous Bubble Room cake in 3 popular flavors).

Spaghetti Dinner tickets can be purchased in advance at various locations around town including: Bank of the Islands, Jerry’s Foods, San-Cap Community Bank, Captiva Civic Association, Sanibel Island Farmers Market, The Shack, Sanibel Community House, Pak-N-Ship, Macintosh Books, Periwinkle Park office, and from any Kiwanis member.  Tickets are limited, so those interested in attending are encouraged to get them early.

The Spaghetti Dinner has a long history as a fixture on the Islands’ social calendar, dating to the earliest days of the local Kiwanis Club 50+ years ago.  It has become one of the Club’s major fundraising programs, along with its Diners Delight 2for1 Coupon Books in the fall and King of the Rock Golf Tournament held in the spring. Together, these events raise funds used by Kiwanis to support education, scholarship and recreation programs for local youth, plus numerous community service projects.

Kiwanis welcomes local businesses and donors to join in supporting these programs, with sponsorship opportunities for individual events or package sponsorships that include the Spaghetti Dinner plus the King of the Rock Tournament.  Sponsors receive recognition for their support in promotional material (news articles, newspaper ads, posters, fliers, social media) and on site.  Additional details can be found at www.sancapkiwanis.com.
