In December, FISH is pleased to welcome Alexandria Edwards, Edison and Ford Winter Estates, as the guest speaker. In this informative talk, learn about the history of a unique treasure in Southwest Florida visited by over 200,000 people a year. Alexandria will shed light on the story of why Edison and Ford chose to build vacation homes in Fort Myers and how they shaped the development of Southwest Florida into what is today. Take a step back in time and see the evolvement of this beautiful estate from Edison’s arrival in 1885 to the 21st century. In light of the upcoming holiday season, Alexandria will also share some of the Edison’s treasured holiday memories and traditions.
“We hope everyone will join us in December for a fun and festive time. This month, we’ll be offering a holiday-themed meal consisting of ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, vegetables, and a dinner roll, thoughtfully prepared by The Sanibel Deli (concessions can be made for dietary restrictions). Seating is limited, so reserve your spot today,” notes Arnowitz.
