Local nonprofit leaders came together this week for an inspiring professional development workshop featuring nationally recognized donor relations expert Lynne Wester of the Donor Relations Group. Wester shared valuable insights on donor stewardship, donor retention, and strategies that extend beyond traditional fundraising events, encouraging organizations to focus on building meaningful, lasting connections with their supporters.

The session brought together nonprofit professionals from across Sanibel and neighboring communities, including Fort Myers, fostering collaboration and shared learning.

The event was made possible through the generosity of local partners. Jerry’s of Sanibel provided lunch for attendees, while The Sanibel Community House donated the venue, ensuring a welcoming space for learning and connection.

“We are deeply grateful to Lynne for generously donating her time and expertise to support our nonprofit community,” Dolly Farrell, Executive Director of the Charitable Foundation of the Islands shared. “We also would like to thank Jerry’s and The Sanibel Community House for their contributions, which helped make this gathering such a success.”

The workshop reflects Sanibel’s ongoing commitment to supporting the nonprofit sector, providing opportunities for growth, connection, and collaboration among organizations dedicated to serving the region.
