The general manager of Periwinkle Park, David Muench, has recently been welcomed to the SanCap Kiwanis Club.
Fifty years ago, David’s father, Dick, created the Kiwanis Club on Sanibel Island. Dick initiated many of the signature projects, including the pancake breakfasts, the scholarship fund, the island clean up and especially the world famous spaghetti dinner.
Some of David’s earliest memories are going to the Kiwanis meetings with his dad. He remembers the camaraderie, the laughter and the service that his dad and his fellow Kiwanians shared.
David is excited to join San Cap Kiwanis and continue his father’s legacy of service.
He also looks forward to working with the Club on projects and programs that benefit the children and families of Sanibel and beyond.
