The Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club welcomed Bob Moore, Chair of the SanCap Resilience Steering Committee, as this week’s featured speaker. Moore shared insights into the coalition’s mission and its collaborative efforts to strengthen the islands’ ability to adapt to environmental and climate challenges.
SanCap Resilience is a community-driven coalition dedicated to planning, educating, and taking action to protect and preserve the islands’ natural environment. The initiative brings together local organizations, civic groups, and residents to define resilience in the context of climate change and to promote sustainable practices that ensure a thriving future for Sanibel and Captiva.
During his presentation, Moore discussed the coalition’s ongoing projects, long-term goals, and the importance of community engagement in building a more resilient island ecosystem.
