The SanCap Kiwanis Club meeting recently had the honor of hosting John Lai, the president of the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce, as our guest speaker. John’s speech left us feeling inspired and grateful for the incredible community we have here on our islands.
During his talk, John expressed his heartfelt appreciation for all the wonderful individuals who continue to call Sanibel & Captiva home.
One particular initiative that John highlighted was the toll-free Sundays. This brilliant idea has proven to be a game-changer for our beloved restaurants and shops. By removing toll charges on Sundays, we have not only made it easier for locals to explore the island but also attracted more visitors to experience the charm and warmth of Sanibel. This boost in foot traffic has had a significant positive impact on our local economy.
We are incredibly proud to be a part of a community that values connection, support, and growth. The Sanibel Captiva Kiwanis Club remains committed to fostering a spirit of unity and collaboration among its members, as well as the wider community.
