Sanibel and Captiva are turning pink this October as the SanCap Pink Project hosts a full calendar of community events in support of breast cancer awareness and local wellness. From art and dining to fitness and family fun, there are plenty of ways to get involved, show support, and celebrate together.
The monthlong celebration kicks off October 1 and runs through October 31, with highlights including:
• October 1–31: Lovegrove Gallery & Gardens in downtown Fort Myers will showcase a monthlong “Pinktober” celebration.
• October 1–31: Wickie’s Lighthouse Restaurant will feature special Pinktober menu items, with proceeds benefiting the cause.
• October 17, 10 AM–4 PM: Sanibel Pilates will host a special Thermography event.
• Every Saturday in October, 9 AM–3 PM: The Pink Out Crew will be bagging groceries at Jerry’s. Stop by to shop, say hello, and join the fun.
• October 23, 11:30 AM–1:30 PM: The annual Pink Out Picnic and Health & Wellness Expo returns, bringing the community together for food, fellowship, and wellness resources.
These events are made possible through the generous support of sponsors and community partners, including Bank of the Islands, Wickie’s Lighthouse Restaurant, Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, Cypress Cove, Sanibel Fire District, The Starr Team, Superior Title Services, and Kingfisher Real Estate.
The SanCap Pink Project invites everyone to wear pink, join in, and be part of this monthlong celebration of hope, health, and community spirit.
