Rachel Flores has joined Sanibel Captiva Community Bank as a senior credit analyst at the bank’s operations center located at the Bridge Branch at 9311 College Parkway in Fort Myers.

She is responsible for analyzing financial statements, evaluating credit risk and recommending appropriate loan structures. She will also collaborate closely with loan officers and senior management to ensure that lending decisions align with the bank’s risk management policies and regulatory requirements.

Flores has nearly 20 years of experience in commercial and residential underwriting and credit analysis. Before joining the bank, she held a senior credit analyst position at a regional financial institution in Southwest Florida.

She graduated from the University of North Florida with a bachelor of science degree, double majoring in finance and financial services.

Founded in 2003, Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has seven locations open throughout Lee County. On Sanibel, the Periwinkle Branch, located at 1019 Periwinkle Way, sustained considerable storm damage and is projected to reopen in October. In Fort Myers, at the bank’s McGregor Branch, located at 15975 McGregor Blvd., the staff is operating out of a temporary mobile banking unit due to major flood damage to the existing building. Construction on the new building is underway and is expected to be completed in 2025.
