Jim Koenen has joined Sanibel Captiva Community Bank as a residential loan officer at its Winkler Branch, located at 7040 Winkler Road, Fort Myers. He is responsible for assisting clients in securing mortgages, providing financing options based on their financial backgrounds and guiding them through the loan application process.

Koenen began his residential lending career in Minnesota at a large regional bank managing consumer lending at various branches and was promoted to the institution’s mortgage lending division.

Most recently, he was a wholesale account executive consulting directly with loan officers at a variety of financial organizations throughout the county, including banks, credit unions and independent mortgage brokers.

He has an extensive background in mortgage programs for real estate investors, jumbo loan transactions and a variety of non-qualified mortgage programs, including alternative documentation, debt service coverage ratio, as well as traditional residential lending and down payment assistance programs.

Koenen earned a bachelor of science degree in business and marketing from Saint Cloud State University – Herberger Business School.
