Sanibel Captiva Community Bank is excited to announce the hiring of Lisa Waskiewicz as the bank’s new human resources manager. In her role, she will oversee human resources functions, including recruitment, employee development, performance management and employee relations, ensuring that the bank continues to attract, develop and retain the best talent to support its growth and commitment to exceptional customer service.

Waskiewicz joins the bank with over 15 years of experience in human resources and organizational development. She most recently served as human resources manager for a local dermatology practice where she successfully led talent management for over 130 employees at multiple locations. She has held key HR roles at companies in various industries, including construction and medical, and several state agencies in Maryland where she spearheaded initiatives that fostered positive workplace cultures, streamlined recruitment processes and enhanced employee engagement. Her strategic expertise and commitment to building strong, inclusive teams align perfectly with the bank’s ongoing efforts to invest in its most valuable asset – its people.

She has an extensive array of certifications and licenses, including SHRM-CP, public notary, and certified health benefits and retirement coordinator. These certifications underscore her deep expertise in key areas of human resources management, including employee relations, talent development and organizational effectiveness.

Founded in 2003, Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has eight locations open throughout Lee County. In Fort Myers, at the bank’s McGregor Branch, located at 15975 McGregor Blvd., the staff is operating out of a temporary mobile banking unit due to major flood damage to the existing building. Construction on the new building is underway and is expected to be completed in 2025. The bank recently purchased property on Fort Myers Beach for its ninth and newest location opening in 2026.
