Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has contributed to several Sanibel nonprofit organizations through its recent employee nonprofit stipend. Each employee received a $500 stipend to donate to a local cause of their choice.
Numerous employees chose to donate to Sanibel- and Captiva-based community organizations, including J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, The Children’s Education Center of the Islands, Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation, Friends Who Care, The Sanibel School Fund and Trailways Camp.
“At Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, we believe true community support begins locally,” said Kyle DeCicco, president and CEO. “As a bank started right here on the island, it’s important for us to champion the causes that shape our island community. By allowing our employees to choose where this donation goes, we not only encourage charitable giving but also reinforce the significance of personal involvement in the well-being of the island we call home.”
The stipend program is designed to support a broad range of local organizations, whether it’s human services, education, healthcare, environmental efforts or cultural initiatives. Each employee was able to choose an organization that reflects their personal passions and values, ensuring that the funds make an impact in diverse and meaningful ways across the community.
