The Sanibel Fly Fishers Club recently held a successful Fly Tying Night at Sanibel Fly Outfitters, featuring local fly fisherman and fly tier Joel Aranoff. Joel demonstrated the art of tying a spawning shrimp fly, a popular choice among fly fishers for catching redfish.
Attendees, including club members and visitors, gathered to watch the demonstration, enjoy pizza and cold beverages, and share plenty of fishing stories.
“The Fly Tying Night was a great opportunity for our community to come together, learn new techniques, and connect over our shared love for fly fishing,” said Pete Squibb, of the Sanibel Fly Fishers Club.
