This Labor Day Weekend, a group of local shops is teaming up to bring something new
and exciting to Sanibel: the Sanibel Island Sunrise Sale, a festive early-morning and
community wide shopping event modeled after the long-running and wildly popular St.
Pete Sunrise Sale.
Inspired by the idea that small businesses thrive best when they collaborate; shops will
open at sunrise on Saturday, August 30th and will feature exclusive deals, giveaways,
early-bird specials, surprises and refreshments to kick off the holiday weekend with a
burst of energy and community spirit. Customers are encouraged to rise and shine,
throw on something fun (yes, pajamas are welcome!), and support their favorite small
businesses.
“The Sunrise Sale is all about community,” said Audrey Stewart, of A Little
Adventure and Adventures in Paradise Outfitters. “When we work together as small
businesses, we all benefit. This is an opportunity to invite shoppers back to the island,
generate buzz, and boost our local economy during a historically slower time of year.”
Many businesses already plan Labor Day sales, so why not come together and market it
as one unified event?
By uniting our efforts, we create more excitement, more visibility, and a better chance to
bring locals and visitors out to shop small and support Sanibel. Confirmed participating
businesses so far include:
AIP Outfitters, A Little Adventure, Bubbly Latitude, Coco Y Cabana, Home by Rachel
Pierce, MacIntosh Books + Paper, Pierce’s Paw Paradise, Rachel Pierce Gallery, Shiny
Objects, Stoked Flamingo, and Suncatcher’s Dream.
The Sanibel Island Sunrise sale | Saturday, August 30th | 7:07 A.M. to 2 P.M.
