The 2025 Sanibel Shell Show will offer amazing shell displays for adults to enjoy, as well as an abundance of activities for kids throughout the show.
A Scavenger Hunt is available in the Palms Ballroom for kids to seek out interesting features across the Scientific and Artistic exhibits on display. In the Gardens Ballroom, a Model of a Lighthouse with a marine lab inside will be available for kids to interact with and learn more about marine ecosystems and sea life. Stations for Coloring and Word Search Games will also be available. And, a “shellfie” station in the main entry hall allows the whole family to take fun photos and post them to Social Media! All kids’ activities are free with the accompaniment of an adult.
The Sanibel Shell Show will be held at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa on March 6, 7 and 8. Doors will be open from 9am – 5pm on Thursday and Friday, and from 9am – 4pm on Saturday. There is a requested $8 donation for adults, and each attendee will receive a bag of locally collected Sanibel Shells. The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club, host of the 2025 Sanibel Shell Show, will offer commemorative merchandise including a specially designed t-shirt and pins for the show, as well as shell bags and totes for shellers’ beach excursions. The Club will also have shells and shell display items for purchase. Over twenty vendors will offer specialty and specimen shells and shells for crafting, as well as many shell-oriented items, jewelry and clothing.
Proceeds from the Sanibel Shell Show support the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club’s Grants Program. Donations enable the club to give grants towards education and research in the fields of conchology and malacology, as well as for conservation and water quality projects, primarily in Southwest Florida. To date, the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club has donated more than $400,000 to grant recipients!
