The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club is happy to announce that next year’s Sanibel Shell Show returns to a 3-day show taking place from 9am – 5pm on Thursday and Friday, and 9am-4pm on Saturday, March 6th, 7th and 8th, 2025 at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa. Last year’s response to this venue was very strong, and the Club has already secured both Artistic and Scientific judges for its next world-renowned competition.
The 2025 Sanibel Shell Show will be co-chaired by Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club President Laurie Jansen and Membership Chairperson Kathy Hofstad. Special events are in the works, as well as the opportunity for a huge number of entries in both Artistic and Scientific categories. Last year’s show offered 15,000 linear feet of competitive exhibits, as well as more than 50 vendors, and the 2025 show will offer a similar number of amazing works of shell art, as well as shell exhibits.
The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club awards grants from the proceeds of the annual Sanibel Shell Show. Grants are given towards education and research in the fields of conchology and malacology, as well as for conservation and water quality projects, primarily in Southwest Florida.
