This holiday season, you can make Santa’s visit a reality right at your doorstep! If you’re an adult—be it a parent, grandparent, or guardian—who wishes for Santa to deliver gifts to your home, here’s how to make it happen:

1. **Gift Preparation**: Choose a special gift for each person in your household, whether they are young or young at heart! Wrap each gift and clearly label it with the recipient’s name.

2. **Create a Gift Sack**: Place all the gifts into one sack for your household. Don’t forget to include your address and any special instructions for each gift recipient to ensure Santa knows where to go!

3. **Delivery to the Fire Station**: Bring your gift sack to the main Fire Station located at 2361 Palm Ridge Road by 5 p.m. on Monday, December 23rd. It’s essential to follow the instructions included in your sack to guarantee that each gift reaches its intended recipient.

**Important Instructions to Include**:

– The name of the adult coordinating the visit and the delivery address. If you live in a condo, please provide detailed directions, including a map if necessary.

– Each gift should be labeled with the recipient’s name, along with some personal tidbits about them. This helps Santa tailor his message and make the visit even more special!

On the evening of December 23rd, Santa and his merry elves will depart from the Fire Station around 5:30 p.m. and will be making deliveries between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. When Santa arrives, he’ll wish your entire household a “Merry Christmas” and personally hand out gifts to each child—perfect for capturing those unforgettable holiday photos!

If you’re celebrating Christmas on the island and have little ones staying with you who would delight in a visit from Santa, Sancap Kiwanis is here to help make their holiday unforgettable!

Did you know? The Santa Run tradition began 51 years ago, thanks to Kiwanian Dick Muench, who was inspired by a similar event in Syracuse, New York. With the support of the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club, which he helped establish, the first Santa Run delivered 110 presents to 66 households, primarily children from the Sanibel school. That year, Dick Muench donned the Santa suit and didn’t finish his route until 11:30 p.m.!

Join us in keeping this magical tradition alive and make this Christmas one to remember!
