Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association announces Beachwalker Marketing & Communications, LLC and MHK Architecture as top sponsors for the upcoming fundraiser on September 22nd from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Cielo Restaurant.

Beachwalker Marketing & Communications, LLC is a local Marketing Agency that helps businesses and nonprofits both on the islands and the greater Southwest Florida communities by helping to elevate their marketing, through social media, digital marketing, traditional marketing materials, and event planning.

Maureen McGauran, owner of Beachwalker Marketing & Communications, shares her enthusiasm for the event “Beachwalker Marketing & Communications, LLC is a proud sponsor of this event and SCBWAs continuing to be a group of women supporting women. We are excited to help assist in continuing education efforts for women of the islands.”

MHK Architecture is an architectural firm which helps successful and visionary people build their dream home with a process that is enjoyable. MHK is committed to the historic craft of architecture and driven by the wishes of the client. They recently bought an office on Sanibel Island and has offices in other parts of Florida, the Carolinas and Colorado.

As stated by Carmella Cioffi of MHK Architecture, “MHK Architecture is pleased to be able to help fund the work that the SCBWA does to lift up other women in the community.”

The 2023 SCBWA Fundraiser aims to raise funds for the SCBWA scholarship opportunities. The Fundraiser allows SCBWA to fulfill its mission of women supporting women while continuing to assist women of the islands to take their next steps in career advancement.

SCBWA chose to hold the event on September 22nd as it is National American Business Women’s Day. The event will include an evening of great food, great company, and the opportunity to bid on silent auction items all under the theme of The Golden Age of Hollywood. The Emcee will be Sanibel Local Artist and SCBWA member, Rachel Pierce.

A special thank you to all sponsors of the event, including Taylor Osborne Clarey of Custom Goods Unlimited for being a Golden Globe sponsor and to Sanibel Captiva Trust Company and Sanibel Captiva Community Bank for being Grammy level sponsors. All sponsors help to make this event possible and raise funds for scholarship opportunities.

Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association is dedicated to empowering and supporting the women who work and live on the islands through networking, mentorship, continuing education and career advancement.

SCBWA aims to serve the community by offering an inclusive, supportive and diverse group of women supporting women. Our focus is the advancement of women’s career development targeted to workers, aspiring workers and the residents of Sanibel and Captiva.
