The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) is honored to welcome legendary ocean explorer and filmmaker Jean-Michel Cousteau to Sanibel on Friday, Feb. 6 for the 2026 Paul McCarthy Memorial Lecture. The son of renowned French oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel Cousteau has spent decades discovering, documenting, and advocating for the world’s oceans.
His award-winning footage and stories will take center stage at the McCarthy Lecture.
