Enjoy a sunset cruise off Captiva Island featuring the singular singer and songwriter Leon Timbo on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Timbo brings “a unique, rootsy sound that incorporates equal measures of vintage soul, gospel, folk, R&B, funk, dance music, and even modern blues” (All Music Guide) to a style he calls “transparent soul.”

Timbo will be performing aboard the 65-foot Lady Chadwick for the first of four sunset concert cruises this season.

The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) launched the one-of-a-kind concert series, Pine Island Sounds, in 2019 as a special donor event to support critical research and programs to protect local water quality.

The sunset cruise begins at McCarthy’s Marina and ventures through the expansive estuary waters of Pine Island Sound to Redfish Pass for the sunset. Guests will be treated to light bites and an initial complimentary cocktail (thanks to SCCF supporters Jack and Janie), all included in the $100 ticket price.

The flagship of Captiva Cruises’ fleet, the newly restored Lady Chadwick just returned to the water in October. Guests can get additional drinks from the bar throughout their time onboard.

Thanks to the Marcums and Captiva Cruises for making SCCF’s signature concert series possible. Visit sccf.org/pine-island-sounds/ to buy tickets and learn more about Pine Island Sounds.
