As a community-wide kickoff highlight for the City of Sanibel 50th anniversary celebration, Luminary Stroll 2024 on Dec. 6 promises the brightest, most festive Luminary to date in its 36 years of existence. The SanCap Chamber invites businesses, organizations, and residents to join its four top-tier sponsors for the event.

Sponsors include Sanibel Captiva Community Bank as presenting sponsor along with Landgraphics, Lee Health, and LCEC as gold sponsors. Remaining available sponsorship levels include Silver at $2,000 and Bronze at $1,000, each with its own publicity exposure opportunities.

Following two years of Luminary pause due to Hurricane Ian’s interruption in 2022, this year’s event promises to be the most extravagant ever. Activities will include a live Nativity scene, guest of honor WINK Chief Meteorologist Matt Devitt, Santa visits, live music, and special treats and activities at island businesses and organizations. The chamber will hand out a map of participating merchants that evening.

“Two years of Luminary starvation and a comeback for a one-in-50-years event combine to build high anticipation for this year’s Luminary,” said John Lai, SanCap Chamber president and chief executive officer. “Thanks to our generous sponsors, the long-celebrated tradition of community goodwill and holiday celebration will once again bring together islanders and visitors in a joyous burst of spirit along the islands’ candle-lit pathways.”
