As tax season arrives, the United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades is committed to helping residents of Sanibel and Captiva maximize their refunds and keep more of their hard-earned money. Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, United Way offers free federal tax filing services to eligible individuals and families.
The VITA program is designed to assist taxpayers, particularly those with low to moderate income, by providing no-cost tax preparation services. This year, services will be available at convenient locations, including FISH and the Sanibel Public Library, ensuring easy access for residents.
