The Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva and the Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida are pleased to announce a new fundraising event for 2024 – the Zonta “Peekleball Volley Against Violence” tournament – at Sanibel’s Sundial Resort & Spa pickleball courts on Saturday and Sunday, December 14-15.
“Peekleball” is a nod to Zonta’s home tour “A Peek at the Unique,” a Sanibel-Captiva success story since 2002, and supports Zonta’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence—an international campaign that aims to inspire action and end violence against women and girls.
Island businesses are encouraged to enter a team. In addition to play of all types and at all levels, there will be fun activities including sales, auctions and giveaways. All funds raised will be distributed in the form of carefully vetted local grants that support Zonta’s mission to build a better world for women and girls, to halt gender-based violence and to aid victims of the same.
