Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff is pleased to announce the Bank has made a long-term commitment to education at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge by underwriting an outdoor learning space known as The Perch.

“With the creation of The Roost gathering place at Ding Darling, there will be so many great new ways for people to spend time in and learn about the natural world that surrounds us,” said Roepstorff. “It’s our honor to underwrite The Perch as a new space to be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike for generations to come!”

The Perch will provide “cubby” seating for use by small groups of up to nine people. This u-shaped area is designed for more intimate storytelling and opportunities to connect with nature.
