SANIBEL, Fla. (Jan. 15, 2020) — Lily & Co. Jewelers, America’s coolest jewelry store, will host California jewelry designer Conni Mainne Jan. 29 and 30.
Inspired by nature’s beauty, Mainne hails from the verdant hills of California’s North Coast. From her home in Mendocino, Mainne’s jewelry reflects nature’s sacred geometries and lyrical forms found in botanicals, surf, clouds, stars and the moon.
“Sanibel’s natural beauty and our passion for the environment make Lily the perfect host for Conni’s inspirational jewelry,” says Dan Schuyler, co-owner of Lily & Co. Jewelers with Sanibel Realtor Karen Bell.
Clients will have the chance to meet Mainne and enjoy complimentary wine and delectable appetizers Jan. 29 and 30 at Lily & Co. Jewelers, 520 Tarpon Bay Road on Sanibel. “Lily’s clients will recognize immediately how Conni’s love of nature reflects in her artistry,” says Schuyler.
Mainne uses moonstones to create an aura of mystery, as well as other gemstones such as aquamarines, tourmalines, sapphires, pearls and diamonds. She recreates natural forms and contours such as unique leaf and nautilus patterns using these gemstones with 18-karat gold and silver.
All of Mainne’s jewelry is hand-made in California using recycled precious metals. She uses only natural and ethically sourced gemstones, pearls and diamonds that are conflict-free according to United Nations resolutions.
Already a professional jeweler by age 19, Mainne studied with noted artist Glenn Miller at College of Marin in California and intensive stone-setting classes at Revere Academy in San Francisco. A lifelong learner, Mainne forged her own path with her dedication to her craft by honing her skills at the work bench.
