Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association (SCBWA) will hold its January Luncheon on Tuesday, January 16th from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at Timbers Restaurant.

SCBWAs first speaker of the year will be Dolly Farrell, Executive Director of Charitable Foundation of the Islands (CFI). Farrell will speak to the group about the organization and how the women of SCBWA can become involved.

Farrell joined the Charitable Foundation of the Islands (CFI) on October 3rd, 2022, as the organization’s first Executive Director, after working nine years at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) Foundation. Dolly earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Loyola University of MD in 1998 and a Master of Public Administration from Appalachian State University in 2006.

Farrell looks forward to speaking with the group and states, “I hope the women of SCBWA will connect with CFI’s mission and also identify some concrete ways they can join us in inspiring philanthropy, leadership, and collaboration for the vitality of the Island community.”

The mission of the Charitable Foundation of the Islands (CFI) is to inspire philanthropy, leadership,

and collaboration for the vitality of the Island community. CFI has served the Sanibel and Captiva communities since the 1990s through the Francis Bailey Society and was officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2011. Visit MyCFI.org for more information.

 

Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association is dedicated to empowering and supporting the women who work and live on the islands through networking, mentorship, continuing education and career advancement.

SCBWA aims to serve the community by offering an inclusive, supportive and diverse group of women supporting women. Our focus is the advancement of women’s career development targeted to workers, aspiring workers and the residents of Sanibel and Captiva. The group meets every third Tuesday of the month at various businesses and restaurants at noon.
