On Wednesday, Feb. 19, the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce celebrated member Sanibel Skin Spa’s expansion of space and services with a ribbon cutting at the spa, located at 975 Rabbit Road on Sanibel Island.
The Torreses moved their top-rated Westhampton Day Spa operation from New York State to Sanibel Island in 2015. In October 2019, they expanded the spa by 1,600 feet to include the island’s first salt cave. Sanibel Salt Cave brings a significant expansion in services available at the spa.
“Himalayan Salt Caves are a proven natural therapeutic breathing treatment that helps with a wide range of respiratory and emotional conditions and helps reduce inflammation and chronic pain,” said Holly Torres, who owns and operates Sanibel Skin Spa with her husband, Joel. Treatments are available as part of a package or a la carte.
The spa offers a full line of treatments and services, including couples retreats, massage, facials, manicures, and pedicures. It rates as the number one island spa by TripAdvisor reviews.
“I believe in supporting local organizations, especially the chamber and others like F.I.S.H., which I ran in its 5K competition,” said Torres. “We want everyone to know what we’re doing here, and I want to know what the other businesses are doing so I can recommend them. I’m kind of like a tour guide here.”
“We want to congratulate Sanibel Skin Spa on its successful operation and exciting new development,” said John Lai, chamber president and chief executive office. For more information about Sanibel Skin Spa, visit sanibelskinspa.com or call 239-671-6930.
