Through its recent fundraising efforts, The Sanctuary Golf Club Foundation raised funds for the Children’s Education Center of the Islands (CECI) and The Sanibel School. CECI received $150,000 to continue support of their rebuilding initiatives including permanent playground structures, as well as providing scholarship funds to families in need. The Sanibel School received a grant of $30,000 to further assist the school’s STEM program.

“The Sanctuary Golf Club Foundation is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of people living and working in our community.”, stated Lisa Schmidlin, President of The Sanctuary Foundation. “We believe that investing in the education of our youth is investing in the future of our community.”

The Sanctuary Foundation also offers educational scholarships to Sanctuary employees and their families. Through this program employees are offered financial assistance, enabling them to pursue educational paths that might otherwise be out of reach.

Since inception in 2019, The Sanctuary Foundation has granted more than $1 million towards community efforts and over $800,000 towards education on the islands. The Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to Sanctuary Members for their ongoing support, which enables the Foundation to continue its mission and make a lasting difference.
