Maureen McGauran moved to Sanibel in 2019. Her educational background includes a B.A. in Public Relations from Taylor University and a M.A. in Government—Political Communication from Regent University. She is also a Fall 2020 Academy Fellow with the Heritage Foundation.
Maureen is active in community roles such as a board member and Communications Chair of the Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association. Other roles in the community include a board director, membership subcommittee member, and scholarship subcommittee member with the Sanibel Captiva Rotary Club. Additionally, Maureen is a member of the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce. She is also an active member of her church, Cypress Lake United Methodist Church, where she serves on church council
