Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association (SCBWA) welcomes its newest board member, Carolyn Rogers of the Sanibel Captiva Trust Company.

Carolyn joins the SCBWA board bringing more than 30 years’ experience in business to the position. As a wealth advisor at The Trust Company, she is responsible for developing client relationships throughout Lee County including Sanibel and Captiva as well as Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita and Estero. She assists clients in identifying and prioritizing their wealth management needs. Her career in fundraising development, charitable planning and communications within the nonprofit arena aligns with the Trust Company’s wealth management and estate planning specialties.

Prior to joining The Trust Company, she served as Vice President of Development and Communications for the Southwest Florida Community Foundation (now Collaboratory) in Fort Myers, where she worked closely with trusted professional advisors and donors. Prior to serving at the Foundation, Carolyn led SimplifyPR public relations firm and was instrumental in the longstanding success of the Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest. She also guided fundraising growth at Canterbury School and the Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida at Lee Health. Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication, specializing in Public Relations from University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, and certifications in public relations and philanthropy, and is working toward certification as a trust and fiduciary advisor (CTFA).

Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association is dedicated to empowering and supporting the women who work and live on the islands through networking, mentorship, continuing education and career advancement.

SCBWA aims to serve the community by offering an inclusive, supportive and diverse group of women supporting women. Our focus is the advancement of women’s career development targeted to workers, aspiring workers and the residents of Sanibel and Captiva. The group meets every third Tuesday of the month at various businesses and restaurants at noon.
